WHERE TO FLY IN VAL DI FASSA
In this section you can view information about take-offs and landings for paragliders, and some also for hang gliders, usually used by local pilots.
All take-offs can be used to make magnificent flights over the Dolomites of Val di Fassa. You can fly over the massifs of Sassolungo, Sella, Pordoi, Marmolada. We remind you that all the information contained in this section is to be considered purely as a suggestion. Take-offs and landings are usually used by local pilots, which means that they do not fall under any type of regulation by anyone, least of all the ICARUS FLYING TEAM A.S.D.
The pilot is solely responsible for conducting the flight in accordance with current legislation and the official documentation issued by the aeronautical bodies in charge.
Take-off name:
Decollo Nord Col Rodella
Altitude:
2360 meters above sea level
Reference landing:
Landing in Campitello during the opening periods of the Col Rodella cable car, otherwise landing in Canazei.
Reachable from:
Campitello taking the Col Rodella cable car, otherwise with the road to Passo Sella towards the Valentini refuge and then on foot towards Col Rodella.
Features:
The take-off occurs on land that is sometimes “clod” due to wind erosion and the presence of numerous agents that could cause entanglement.
Pay special attention:
In the presence of the ropes of the 2 chairlifts, avoid taking off near them; at the avalanche barriers in the section below take-off; to the wind from the North which requires careful evaluation, in fact already from 10km / h the conditions can be relatively turbulent, in addition to consider the transit in complete leeward to reach the landings.

Pay special attention:
To the overhead power line that longitudinally divides the area adjacent to the landing. Absolutely avoid the area south of it also due to the presence of the golf school field. To the trees on the west side of the landing which in the event of a moderate breeze can generate areas of turbulence.
